Books of Thought

When you start following me, please send me a message telling me your general political and/or spiritual views and why you're following me. I love knowing such things.
Things to expect on this blog: Austrian School economics; Libertarian politics; guns; Celtic/Druidic paganism; and maybe the occasional rant.

Call to Arms: Walmart Campaign

Nutnfancy asks American gun owners, 2nd Amendment supporters, and freedom lovers to contact Walmart over the deals rumoured to be in the works involving Walmart supporting new gun control laws.

If you’re an American (resident, citizen, or otherwise), watch this, spread it, and participate. I would if I felt my input would be valid, but that would be just another foreigner telling Americans what to do regarding guns. I also know what a new ban would do to Canada, and it’s not good. So this is me doing my bit.

Larry Correia refutes common Gun Control arguments

This article is very long, but very much worth the read. Correia is currently a novelist, but has very extensive experience with U.S. gun laws, self-defence laws, and the facts surrounding the use of guns by good guys and bad guys alike. His logic is sound, and the stats he cites and arguments he makes are charitable toward the gun control advocates. I highly recommend reading this in its entirety.

Gun control advocates: Be honest about what you support

If you’re going to vote in the American Presidential election today, please vote for Gary Johnson.

If you’re not voting because you think it legitimizes the state and its bullshit, that’s cool.

If you’re not voting because you’re just lazy, get off your ass and go vote. But make it for Gary Johnson.

Political Profiling of a “Constitutionalist” Turns Simple Domestic Call Into Full on SWAT Raid

Americans: If you think your country isn’t a police state where political dissidents face severe punishment? Think again. There’s so much wrong with this.

The Monopoly on Violence

Food for Thought

The way most people think about freedom is rather strange. When you say you oppose most government action, they say something like, “But you can say whatever you want, and you can vote! You’re already free!” I feel as though the American people would accept the most egregious police state and the most totalitarian government imaginable, with intervention in every country and sphere of life, so long as they can watch television, and have lively debate between the supporters of two very similar candidates. Maintain the First Amendment, my thinking goes, and Americans will accept the violation or repeal of just about every other part of the Bill of Rights, or limiting clause of the Constitution.

Sure, your government can kidnap, imprison, torture, and execute just about anyone for any reason, and without trial, counsel, or even notice to family, friends, or employers. Sure, they can disarm you comepletely. Sure, They can search anyone, anywhere, for any or no reason, and seize anything for the same. But you can vote! You can oppose Obama and support Romney (or vice-versa)! You can hate Fox and adore MSNBC (or vice-versa)! You can bitch on your blog or to your friends! So you’re still free!

While I’m asking about libertarian music, I might as well ask about Pagan music too.

On the libertarian side, I like Rivoli Revue’s “USS of A”, but haven’t listened to any of their other stuff. I also like listening to Disturbed-style metal, and have already been pointed to Sons of Liberty.

On the Pagan side, I listen to Omnia, Damh the Bard, and Dead Can Dance. I want more stuff like that.

Thanks everyone!

I need some libertarian music. Any suggestions?

No hip-hop please. I know lots of you guys like Wiz Khalifa, and I’ve been known to listen to Immortal Technique, but I generally don’t like the genre.

Am I seriously the only pagan libertarian?

So many atheists and Christians among my libertarian friends. So many liberals among the pagans I follow… can’t there be more pagan libertarians?
